An announcement should be forthcoming within two weeks. Harry Weese & Associates of Chicago Cullen - Schiltz & Associates jointly with Bowen & Kanazawa of Madison Hansen - Lind & Meyers of Iowa City Durrant, Deininger, Dommer, Kramer & Gordon Louis C. Kingscot & Associates of Davenport Rossiter & Hamm The most exciting presentation was made by Ron Bowen of Madison. My Madison counterpart, Sol Levin, speaks highly of this young small firm. They have been involved in subsidized housing projects, the moving of a historic synagogue and are one of three firms involved in converting the downtown Capitol Theater and Montgomery Ward Store building into a cultural, arts, etc. center. The multi -media consultant has announced that their presentation for bicentennial promotion will be completed February 19 for local preview. A draft of their audio is enclosed. -2- Mr. Gilbert D. Chavenelle January 23, 1973 Plans are under way for John Culver to set up and host a breakfast meeting in Washington on February 26 for our two senators and other appropriate Federal officials to view the mini -multi -media presentation. It is hoped that appropriate local people will also be present. Del Black, Midwest Regional Director for the Bicentennial Commission,is arranging a series of meetings with various Federal agencies for both the 26th and 27th of February. At about this same time the local campaign for additional funds will be renewed - a film festival at the Orpheum, theater seat sale promo- tion, and direct approaches to all organized groups. Enclosed is a copy of the Bicentennial Commission program criteria which we are expected to complete. Sincerely yours, j Gent M. Wittenberg' GMW/vt Enclos ure
