Dear Wayne:
Thank you so much for your kind hospitality Friday, Both Jack Schacht and
I were impressed with your organization and the enthusiasm with which your
project has been promoted.
The audio visual division of the Des Moines Register and Tribune Company
will be happy to assist you in preparing a presentation to be shown to the
National Bi-centennial committee and the Iowa Bi-centennial Commission.
This presentation -- an approximately 15-minute sound and slide presentation --
will be prepared without charge to the Five Flags Civic Center. However,
as we discussed, our presentation will be contingent upon our preparing the
major multi -media presentation to be housed within the center providing the
funds are received from the federal government.
Our charge for such a presentation will be at our regular rates and will, of
course, be dependent upon the budget established by your committee.
If your executive committee is in agreement with this proposal, I would ap-
preciate your sending me a confirming note for our files.
We're looking forward to this exciting project, and we are sure you will be
able to convince the bi-centennial commissions that the Dubuque project is
an outstanding one and should be funded by both of these groups. Thanks once
more for your hospitality. Both Jack Schacht and I and our entire staff will
looj forward to working with you on this project.
Sincerely,
r`
Roy Folllt
