Dear Mr. Norman:
Thank you for your call today regarding your efforts for
the Iowa Bicentennial celebration. I am enclosing the
brochure you requested on National Park Service Criteria
for Parklands. Also enclosed for your information are
brochures on the National Historic Landmark Program and
the Natural Landmarks Program.
We look forward to receiving the historical overview
concerning the Dubuque area and the significance relative
to the 1,300-acre tract of land we discussed. After
analyzing the overview, we will send you our comments and
recommendations concerning possible National Park Service
interest.
