Dear Mr. Goldering:
This letter will confirm a telephone conversation our mechanical -
structural consultant, Mr. Bud Arnold of Arnold & C'Sheridan
Consulting Engineers, had with you last Friday.
We are hopefull of retaining a special consultant to advise on the
development of a multi-purpos.e ice sheet and supporting refrigeration
system to be incorporated into a Civic Center in Dubuque, Iowa.
Your name has come to me from several sources as a firm who
could advise on these matters. I have an involve!nent in mind that
could include the following:
1. An initial meeting in Toronto with representatives from the Five
Flags Commission, our engineer, and myself, to review some
facilities you may have completed in the Toronto area. Your
advise on design parameters essential to ensure a top quality
multi -purpose facility. Your sharing of any statistical information
that might be helpful in terms of relative operating and capital
costs, maintenance, etc.
2. Your review of partially complete working drawings and specifi-
cations prepared by BKP, along with appropriate comment and
recommendations. (These could be forwarded to you in Toronto).
I have enclosed some pertinent background information for your
reference. Would you be willing to meet with us on a consulting
basis to discuss these matters? If so, could you provide us with
some background information on CIMCC that we could forward to the
Five Flags Commission. Could this work be done on a per diem
basis, not to exceed an agreed upon amount? And finally, could you
make some estimate of the time necessary for this type of consultation.

soon as possible. Could you advise me, either by phone and/or
follow by letter, as soon as it is convenient.
