Dear Ron;
It was nice talking to you again today and I wish to express my appreciation to
you for accepting our association to be of assistance to you and the city of
Dubuque in your new venture.
As I advised you on the phone I am all set to start at any time it is convenient
to you and as you know will be assisted by one other building manager on this
project and to this end I would like to suggest the following three managers
names & background information on each.
1. Mr Atwood Olson, Manager Minneapolis Auditorium & Convention Center;
whose experience has been as follows;
Worked at and manager of Minneapolis Auditorium 40 years.
On New Building Consulting Board over 20 years with consulting
work done on buildings to numerous to set down but including
our own Duluth Arena -Auditorium in 1963 & 64 and many smaller
cities throughout Iowa & Minnesota & Wisconsin plus most other
states in the United States. He also has been highly involved
in the Renovation & Construction of his present facilites that
include 3 exhibition halls, 23 meeting rooms, full stage and
8,000 seat auditorium & sports activities.
Managerial wise he has full insight of all administrative
procedures, accounting, maintenance, selling conventions, bookings,
ticket handlings, and has a vast knowledge in complete facility
operations except on site parking as all of his parking has to
come from private lots within 3 blocks or more from the building.
2. Mr Roy Saunders, Director of Assembly Center in Tulsa Oklahoma.

3. Mr. George Baer, Manager of the Lansing Civic Center Lansing
Mich. As per attached qualification sheet.

reccommend, Mr. Atwood Olson. Due to his knowledge of the area and his vast
