The Five Flags center Building Committee, after considerable discussion
of. the Construction Management Concept, has elected to proceed with the
traditional delivery approach of architect and general contractor.
.This 3.7 million dollar community wide facility will be designed by the
architectural firm of Bowen Kanazawa Partnership of Madison, 'Wisconsin.

The Five ^lags Center Building Committee met yesterday to consider the
Construction Management Concept with particular reference to its applica-
bility to the Five Flags Center Project.
various members of the committee discussed the proposition vrith contractors,
architects, professional associations and owners, and they received opinions
ranging from "yes" to "no."
In the best interests of the project, the Five Flags Center Building Committee
is recommending to the City Council that the project proceed to the traditional
delivery aproach - architect and general contractor. Accordingly, the City
Council will be requested to authorize the execution of a contract for archi-
tectural services with Mr. Ronald Bowen of Bowen Kanazawa partnership.
