have prepared the attached spreadsheet outlining all costs related to the Bergfeld Trail
Phase 2 project. These costs were separated to get a handle on total cost of the project
versus the budget. The original project budget was $475,000 to be paid for by North
Siegert farm savings on grading. To date expenditures total $472,759. There is
approximately $60,750 remaining in expenses to complete the project. Change orders
have resulted in over expenditure of the budget. This will result in $58,508.60 over
budget. This would include purchase and installation of emergency lights and complete
the project totally.
The attached change order revises the bid for the parking lot and drive due to the
moving of the driveway off Pennsylvania further to the west. According to Ron Turner
this saves about $8,100 from Drew's original bid for that specific work.
have spoken with Jenny and she says funds are available for this overage in the
Dubuque Industrial Center West North Siegert farm account. I request your approval to
revise the budget so that the work may be completed on this project. With your
approval we will authorize Drew Cook Construction to finish the parking lot and drive.
will coordinate ordering and installing the emergency lights.
This memo does not address the drainage issue at McGraw -Hill.
