Letter to City Council on Design of Main St between 4th and 5th St._10.01.1976October 1, 1976

City Council
Dubuque, Iowa
Gentlemen;
At the September 23rd meeting of the Five Flags Center Building Committee
I was directed to request the City Council to hold in abeyance any decision
as to the design of Main Street between 4th and 5th Streets.
This matter was discussed in considerable detail by the committee and a
management consultant is to be retained by the project architect to examine
the proposed plans for the center and the site upon which the center is to
be constructed. In view that the management consultant may have suggestions
as to traffic and pedestrian flows in and about the center, their input may be
important to the final design of the area in question.
