Greetings from Dubuque and thank you for your June letter. I apologize for the delayed
response. It was our pleasure to host you and our other Dornbirn guests for your short visit
to Dubuque in May. I speak on behalf of everyone involved when I say we enjoyed meeting
each member of the Dornbirn group and showing you our community.
Although our communities are very similar in many ways, I think we can learn much from
each other and agree that we should explore how we can strengthen the relationship
between our two cities. I have asked Dubuque's Sister City Committee to consider a formal
sister city relationship with Dornbirn and I look forward to their response in the near future.
We also sincerely appreciate your invitation for a Dubuque delegation to visit Dornbirn and I
have asked our Sister City Committee to discuss this possibility as they plan future activities.
I look forward to building on the historical foundation that already exists between our two
cities and I will contact you with additional information soon.
