City Council, Special Session, Monday, August 11, 2003
Council met at 5:30 P.M. in the Five Flags Center – Orpheum Room
Present: Mayor Pro-Tem Cline, Council Members Buol, Connors, Markham, Michalski,
Nicholson, City Manager Van Milligen, Corporation Counsel Lindahl.
Absent: Mayor Duggan
Mayor Pro-Tem Cline read the call and stated this is a special session of the City
Council called for the purpose of conducting a worksession on the Transit Alternatives
Analysis.
Dan Meyers and Eric Padget of URS Corp, Minneapolis, MN presented a project update
on the Transit Alternatives Analysis study which included a review of the five alternative
systems which have been identified to provide transit service between the Port of
Dubuque and downtown Dubuque. These alternatives include a “No Build” system, two
rubber-wheeled systems and three steel-wheeled systems. Another update will be
provided in September, 2003.
There being no further business, upon motion the special session adjourned at 6:36 p.m.
