Personnel Manager
Amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement Between the City of
Dubuque and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local #758
For several years, I have signed a Letter of Understanding with the International
Union of Operating Engineers, Local #758 that amended Article XXVIII, Hours of Work
and Article XXX, Overtime Pay to provide for a work week that consists of ten hours per
day and four days per week for Full-time Public Safety Dispatchers. In discussing this
issue with Barry, he believes that this arrangement should be put in the form of an
Amendment and adopted by the City Council. Consequently, I have prepared an
Amendment to the Agreement. The Amendment would be in effect from October 1,
2003 through September 30, 2004. The requested action is for the City Council to
approve a motion authorizing you to sign the Amendment.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call.
