Dear REAP Evaluation Committee Member:
The City of Dubuque encourages your support and approval of the City of Farley's
request for REAP funding for their Heritage Trail Connection project.
The City of Dubuque has been fortunate to receive REAP grants for several
components of Dubuque's Heritage Trail Riverfront System. All of these trail
segments are well used by residents, visitors and families in our community.
The REAP funding for Farley's Heritage Trail Connection project will provide the City
of Farley with these same benefits. The proposed connection along Highway Y13 will
provide a much needed, safe route from the Heritage Trail to Farley. In addition, the
expansion of the Heritage Trail System in Dubuque County benefits all communities in
Dubuque County.
Thank you for your past support of REAP projects in Dubuque County. We look
forward to your continued support.
Sincerely,
MCVM:lc

The Farley Development Corporation is encouraging your support for funding a REAP
grant for our Heritage Trail Connection project. The proposed connection adjacent
to kighway Y 13 will provide a much needed, safe route fi.om the Heritage Trail into the city
of Farley.
The project supports the Governor's Strategic Planning Council's 2001 Report, Goal 4, to make Iowa a
great place to visit and live. For your convenience I have enclosed a sample letter of support.
The time line to submit the application to REAP is August 15, 2003 therefore causing all of us
to be acutely aware of the short timeflame. We would appreciate any support,~your
