The front porch steps are deficient a handrail. The building was built 100 years ago. This is a building purchased through the First Time Home Owner program. A small room in the basement approximately 10 x 12 has been finished for a sitting or TV room. It has a 6' patio door directly to the exterior and provides egress as well as more then adequate light and ventilation. This is an old building in which the basement was converted to living space. The finished ceiling height is 6'6" and where the ductwork is covered, it is 6'2". The code requires 7' in habitable spaces. A ceiling height variance is needed of 6" for 90% of the room, and a variance of 10" where there is ductwork. This is a Rehab First Time Home Owner inspection.
