This is a claim in which claimant alleges that a City of Dubuque recycling truck struck the
mirror on his parked camper.
According to the report of Paul Schultz, Solid Waste Management Supervisor, claimant's
camper had been pulled partially over to the curb, however, it still partially intruded the
driving lane of Pinard Street. While a City of Dubuque Sanitation Ddver was collecting
recycling on Pinard Street, he clipped the mirror of claimant's camper.
It is therefore the recommendation of Paul Schultz to approve this claim in the amount of
$24.81. The Legal Department concurs with this recommendation.

Claim of Gerald Brimeyer
The claim and estimate is approved as filed.
Dave Sitzmann, Lead Sanitation Driver, and 1 investigated the accident,
took photos, and spoke with Gall Brimeyer, owner of the Dodge camper. Before
the accident, the camper was pulled partially onto the curb / boulevard but still
partially intruded into the driving lane of this very narrow roadway. After our
Sanitation Driver picked up a recycling miss, he proceeded south on Pinard and
barely clipped the mirror on the camper. This "clip" spun the mirror around but
broke the mirror glass. Police were not called since the damage was
insignificant.
I approve the damage claim for a replacement mirror of $24.81.
