Annexation
The City of Dubuque has received an additional request for voluntary annexation from
Marilyn Blake. The request was received by the original August 14 deadline, but
missed being included in the packet sent to City Council.
Mrs. Blake had already been included in the calculation for those submitting a voluntary
annexation request.
I respectfully recommend that this letter be accepted with the previously submitted
information.

RE: Voluntary Annexation Request
Dear Mayor & City Council Members:
I, Marilyn Blake, owner of 37.20 acres of property along Middle Road legally
described as Lot 1 of the SE SE Section 19 T89N R2E in Dubuque County, Iowa,
request annexation of this property to the City of Dubuque, lo'wa. This parcel is
#5 on the Annexation Exhibit A map enclosed for your information.
The acceptance of this agreement is subject the adoption of an amendment to
the City of Dubuque Code of Ordinances by the City of Dubuque City Council
granting to the City Manager the authority to exempt property owners from the
requirement of connections to the City sanitary sewer if the sewer is within 200
feet of the property line when the City Manager determines that such connection
would be impracticable or would exact an undue hardship because of the
conditions pertaining to the property in question.
