After months of careful consideration, the Park and Recreation Advisory
Commission has developed a recommendation for you regarding leashed,
licensed pets in Dubuque city parks.
While our meetings are always open to the public, and public input is
accepted there, there has been recent discussion of holding a special public
input session on the issue. This meeting would be announced to the public and
held at the council chambers to allow a greater number of citizens to participate.
However, since any new input would likely be similar to the large amount of
public input received previously on the issue, and therefore be unlikely to affect
our recommendation, we are considering foregoing a special public input
session.
Please advise on whether you find this acceptable, or would prefer the
commission collect more public input on the matter before moving forward.
