Citizen Petition to preserve the Town Clock Plaza 7-5-2000DAVID W.LEIFKER LAW OFFICES IOWA OFFICE DUBUQUE BUILDING 700 LOCUST ST STE 701 DUBUQUE,IOWA 52001-6824 TELEPHONE (319)557-1354 FAX (319)557-5086 WISCONSIN OFFICE EAGLES BLUFF 1000 WHISPERING LANE HAZEL GREEN,WISCONSIN 53811 TELEPHONE (608)748-4740 July 5,2000 Mayor and Council City of Dubuque City Hall 50 West 13th St Dubuque,IA 52001 Petitions To Preserve The Town Clock PlazaRE: Dear Mayor Terry and Councilpersons: Enclosed are several more petitions, with about 65 signatures. These were apparently signed after Larry Friedman sent you the other petitions. Most of the people who work downtown believe the Town Clock Plaza should be left in its present form, with some pavement reconstruction. The "repair"expenditures would be a lot less than the cost of destroying the plaza or redoing the entire plaza(with destruction of trees,etc.). Many of us wonder where the impetus is coming from to keep this issue "under study",especially considering the cost of these"studies". Yours t.
