The Immigrant Rights Network of Iowa and Nebraska (IRNIN) is an unincorpo - rated affiliation of organizations and individuals, immigrants and their allies. The mission of the IRNIN is to facilitate full immigrant participation in decision- making processes, promote respect for immigrant contributions, and build inclusive communities. We support immigrants regardless of their immigration status. The IRNIN operates according to the following guiding principles or values: nonviolence, nonpartisanship, respect for human rights, inclusiveness,open dialogue, and a commitment to participation and empowerment. The goals of the IRNIN are (1) to educate the general community about immigrant issues and present immigrants and their contributions in a positive public light; (2) to develop leadership in immigrant communities; and (3) to unite the various agencies, organizations, and individuals who desire positive reform in immigration law and local law to benefit our communities.
