Judy Giesen called the meeting of the Dubuque Human Rights Commission tc order at 4:20 p.m. on
Monday, August 18, 2003, at Sisters of the Presentation, 2360 Carter Road.

Approval of Minutes
Commissioner Murray moved to approve the July 14, 2003 meeting minutes as submitted.
Commissioner Jackson seconded. All in favor.
Caseload Report
Kelly summanzed the July Caseload Report. There were forty-six intakes, no cases in backlog, three
cases in active investigation, two cases in mediation, three cases m administrative review, one case in
administrative law judge review, two cases in the public hearing process, three new cases were filed,
and six cases were closed. The case synopsis involves alleged age and disability discrimination in
the area of employment.
