City of Dubuque (Mayor and Council)
50 E. 13th Street
Dubuque, IA 52001
September 8, 2003
Dear Mayor and Council,
The Dubuque City Council should place support of the implementation of the Dubuque
Downtown Comprehensive Plan in its Top Priority List.
The Dubuque Downtown Comprehensive Plan focuses on culture & education,
commerce, public & open spaces, transit, housing, and historic character. These six areas
focus and support the proposed City Vision:~
1. The City of Dubuque is a growing city with a strong balanced economy and
connections to the world,
2. The Dubuque Community takes pride in our history and heritage and has actively
preserved our picturesque river and community,
3. Dubuque Citizens have choices of quality livable neighborhoods and fun things to
do.,
4. Dubuque City Government is financially sound and providing services with
citizens getting value.
As a proud supporter of the entire City of Dubuque, I believe its heart lies in a vibrant
and active downtown. It's important for this to be recognized as a top priority.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
