SECOND: ED SWIFT
THE FINDINGS OF THE BOARD WERE:
Joel Petsch, owner of 2115 Roosevelt Street, requested a
variance on a den ceiling height.
Living room and den are deficient the minimum code
requirement of 7' for ceiling height. The living room
ceiling height is 6'8 1/2" and the den ceiling height is
6'6". The living room appears to be original construction.
The den appears to be converted living space from possibly a
shed. It would not be feasible to try and raise the ceiling
for the living room. The den has an acoustic ceiling and not
sure how much room is above to determine if it would be
feasible to try and raise the ceiling.
David Harris, Department Director, granted a continuance on
the living room ceiling height but referred for review the
den ceiling height to the Housing Code Appeals Board.
The original inspection date was November 1S, 2002.
