The eting was called to order by the Mayor and, the roll being called, there were present: :filbert Wharton, MAyer, in the chair, and the following named Councilmens Coo. P. Vfurphy, B. A. Sohueller, F. W. Thompson and Frank Van Duoln n. Absent; None. 1%y'or Wharton read the oall and stated, that service thereof had been duly made and that this meeting is called, for the purpose of canvassing the vote cast at the special Election held November 3rd. 1942, and acting on any other business as may properly cor+u before a regular meeting of the City Council. Councilman Van Duelman, introduced and caused to be read the resolution hereinafter sot out, entitled "Resolution vb* log-42" and moved its adoptions Seconded by Councilman Thompson] and alter due consideration thereof by the Council, the Mayor put the question and, upon the roll being called, the following rained Councilmen voted: Aye: Wor Wharton, Councilmen Murphy, Sehueller, Thompson, Van Duelm n, Nay: bone. Whereas, a spacial municipal election was held on the 3rd* day of Xovember, 1942, in the City of Dubuque, 1mva, purGuant uo the provisions of Resolution No. 103-42, passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Dubuque can the 13th, day of october, 1942, at which election the following question or proposition was submitted to the electors of said Cite of Dubuque as provided b7 Chapters 303,1 and 319 of the Code of Tme, namely, to -wits "SHALL.the fallowing pdblic measure be adopted?
