Jeff Morton and John Gronen accepted the award from the National Housing & Rehabilitation Association in Boston last Tuesday, Oct 19. Not sure if you're looking for any additional information on this, but I'll include some, just in case: - According to award presenters: Although the design, construction challenges and overall project impacts were impressive, the "clincher" for winning the prestigious national award was the tremendous collaborative effort that was developed /implemented to make this project happen. They felt these many partnerships, along with the tremendous community impact, were the deciding factors in selection of the Roshek Building as winner of the award. - Roshek is the first Iowa project to ever win a Timmy Award - Only four Iowa projects have ever been a Timmy Award finalist and three of those four are Dubuque projects 1. Roshek Redevelopment, Dubuque, IA (2010) Winner 2. German Bank Building, Dubuque, IA (2009) Finalist 3. The Fowler Building, Waterloo, IA (2009) Finalist 4. Dubuque Casket Company, Dubuque, IA (2007) Finalist Please don't hesitate to let me know of any questions. Thank you.
