James Rowan & Christine Rowan to the city of Dubuque
Deed
Know all me by these presents that we James Rowan and Christine Rowan his wife of Dubuque county
state of Iowa the consideration of the sum of ten thousand six hundred and forty nine 88/100 dollars is
hand paid by the city of Dubuque of Dubuque County state of Iowa do hereby sell and convey unto the said
City of Dubuque the following described premises to wit. The North two fifths of lot number four
hundred and fifty seven (457) in the City of Dubuque, Iowa as shown upon the official plat of the
Town of Dubuque by the United States and we do hereby convenant with the said city of Dubuque
that we are lawfully sized of said premises that they are free from incumbrance that we have good right
and lawful authority to sell and convey the same and we do hereby covenant to warranty and defend the
said premises against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever and the said Christine Rowan
hereby relinquishes her right of dower to the premises herein before conveyed

county personally came James roway and Christina Rowan to me personally known to be the
identical persons whose names are affixed to the above deed as grantors and acknowledged the
same to be their voluntary act and deed and the said Christina Roway wife of the said James Rowan
being by me made acquainted with the content of said instrument and acknowledged on an
eamination apart from her husband that she executed the same and relinquished her right of dower
to the real estate therein conveyed voluntarily and without compulsion or undue influence of her
said husband.

Know all men by these presents that I Daniel W Lee of Dubuque County state of Iowa in consideration
of the sum of eleven thousand six hundred ($11600.00) dollars in hand paid by the city of Dubuque
of Dubuque county and state of Iowa do hereby sell and convey unto the said the city of Dubuque the
following described premises to wit the north two fifths (N 2/5) of lot number four hundred and forty
eight (N 448) in said city of Dubuque State of Iowa as the same is assignated on the official plat of
the town of Dubuque by the United States Commisioners and I do hereby covenant with the said the
City of Dubuque that I am lawfully seized of said premises that they are free from incumbrance that I
have good rights and lawfull authority to sell and convey the same and also I do hereby convent to
warrant and defent the said premises against the lawful claims of all persons whomesoever
