Community and Economic Development Director Jim Burke is recommending
acceptance of the Dubuque Industrial Center West Grading, Paving and Utilities,
Phase I project as completed by McAninch Construction Company in the final
amount of $5,622,265.19.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

SUBJECT: DUBUQUE INDUSTRIAL CENTER WEST GRADING, PAVING AND
UTILITIES PROJECT, PHASE I.
INTRODUCTION
The attached resolutions provide for the acceptance of the Dubuque Industrial Center West
Grading, Paving and Utilities Phase I Project.
DISCUSSION
All work has been completed on the project by McAninch Construction Company in the final
contract amount of $5,622,265.19. This project included: site grading, paving of Chavenelle
Road east of Seippel Road, installation of sanitary sewer and water mains and storm drains and
installation of underground electrical conduits.
RECOMMENDATION
We recommend that the City Council accept the improvement and that the final contract be
established at $5,622,265.19.
BUDGET IMPACT
A summary of the project cost is as follows:

The City Council is requested to adopt the attached resolution accepting the improvement and
establishing the final contract amount.
