Casey, asking that on account of her poverty, the special assessment levied against her home- stead, Lot 2 of Finley Additio for the improvement of Asbury street, be allowed to remain as a lien the. eon without interest, until such time as her children can render financial assist- ance, would respectfully recommend that the prayer of the petitioner he granted and that the Treasurer be in- structed accordingly. Your Committee of the Whole, to whom were referred the plans and specifications for the filling of North 1First street, would rspectfully recom- mend that a contract be entered into with the Eagle Point Lime Works for filling said street to the width of forty feet. The City Engineer, if hF has not already done -so, to cross - section said street before any fi:'i :g is done thereon so that an accurate estimate of the actual amount of fill- ing done may be had. Your Committee of the Whole desires to place itself on record as being in favor of making, at the usual time, an appropriation of $200.00 for defray- ing the cost of the filling on North First street. Your Committee of the Whole, to whom were referred the following pe- titions asking for the installation of 'electric lamps, would respectf that the prayer of the pe- titioners be granted: S. F. Wales et al, Robinson avenue, near A. M. E. church. We further recommend that a lamp be placed on Main street between Jones and First streets, and that the City Electrician be instructed to notify the Union Electric Company to install said lamps as soon as possible. Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred the report of the Water Works Trustees for the quar- ter ending October 1st, 1911, would re- spectfully recommend that said re- port be taken from this committee and referred to the special water works auditing committee. Your Committee of the Whole, to whom were referred the following bills, would respectfully recommend that the same be allowed and that warrants in settlement thereof be or- dered drawn on the City Treasurer: Ellwanger Bros., harness re- pairs, sidewalk department ..$ 50 Union Electric Co., power for storage battery for November 2 00 Smedley Steam Pump Co., re- pairs for steam roller 2 05 Geo.
