adopting Supplement Nos. 2 and 3 as part of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Dubuque.

The purpose of this memorandum is to submit to City Council a resolution adopting
Supplements 2 and 3 to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Dubuque.
The attached resolution provides for the adoption of Supplement No. 2 which codifies
ordinances enacted from October 19, 2009 through April 19, 2010 and Supplement No. 3
which codifies ordinances enacted from May 3, 2010 through September 20, 2010. The
supplements also provide for corrections to the Code of Ordinances.
Supplements to the Code of Ordinances are prepared by Sterling Codifiers, Inc.
ACTION STEP
The required action is for the City Council to pass the resolution adopting Supplement
No. 2 and 3 as a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Dubuque.
RESOLUTION NO. 456 -10
ADOPTING SUPPLEMENTS 2 AND 3 TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA
Whereas, under date of August 17, 2009, the City Council, pursuant to
Ordinance No. 43 -09, readopted the Code of Ordinances of the City of Dubuque, Iowa
in its entirety; and
Whereas, since August 17, 2009 the City Council of the City of Dubuque, Iowa
has adopted certain ordinances amending the Code of Ordinances and said
amendments have been printed as supplements to the Code of Ordinances; and
Whereas, Section 380.8 of the Code of Iowa provides that supplements, by
resolution, become part of the Code of Ordinances.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DUBUQUE, IOWA:
Section 1. That Supplement No. 2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Dubuque, Iowa, covering Ordinances 52 -09 through 54 -09, 57 -09, 59 -09, 2 -10 through
15 -10, 17 -10, 21 -10, 22 -10, 24 -10 passed by Council and enacted through April 19,
2010, prepared by the Sterling Codifiers, Inc., and filed in the Office of the City Clerk of
the City of Dubuque, Iowa is hereby adopted and becomes part of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Dubuque, Iowa.
Section 2. That Supplement No. 3 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Dubuque, Iowa, covering Ordinances 25 -10, 26 -10, 31 -10 through 37 -10, 39 -10 through
46 -10, 48 -10 through 50 -10 and 54 -10 passed by Council and enacted through
September 20, 2010, prepared by the Sterling Codifiers, Inc., and filed in the Office of
the City Clerk of the City of Dubuque, Iowa is hereby adopted and becomes part of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Dubuque, Iowa.
