The Board requested the owner present them with a plan of action on how he is going to complete repairs, including copies of signed contracts from persons contracted to do the repairs. Vince Kilburg, agent for 1195 - 1199 Central Avenue, requested an extension of time until June 15, 2004 to complete exterior repairs. The foundation needs replacement of missing and loose mortar. Around the entire building, all missing and loose bricks and mortar need to be repaired. On March 19, 2002 the Housing _Appeals Board granted the first extension of time to March 15, 2003. The kitchen window is deficient a sash balance. 6. The kitchen window lock needs repair. 7. The kitchen floor tile needs repair. 8. The stairway woodwork has peeling paint. 9. The south rear bedroom west window sash needs repair. 10. The front bedroom right window is painted shut. 11. The front bedroom closet window screen needs repair. 12. The front bedroom closet ceiling needs repair. 13. The front bedroom door needs repair. 14. The laundry room walls need repair. 15. The laundry room floor has peeling paint. 16. The laundry room exterior door is not weather tight. 17. The laundry room washing machine drain is deficient a trap. 18. The laundry room floor by the steps needs repair. 19. The laundry room electrical wiring needs to be properly installed by a City of Dubuque licensed electrician and proper permits must be taken out. 20. Install a handrail on the steps to the second floor. This is a Section 8 Annual inspection. ITEMS 3 AND 4 WERE COMPLETED BEFORE THE APPEALS BOARD MEETING.
