DUBUQUE COUNTY, IOWA
We, the undersigned Members of the Board of Supervisors, and ex-officio Board
of County Canvassers, for Dubuque County, hereby certify the following to be a true and
correct abstract of the votes cast in the Special Baseball Stadium Election held on the 16th day
of December, 2003, as shown by the tally lists returned from the seyeral election precincts.
On the public measure:" "Shall the City of Dubuque, Iowa establish a capital improvements
reserve fund and certify taxes to be levied for such fund against all taxable property
within the City, in addition to all other taxes, in the amount of 33.2371 cents ($.332371)
per thousand dollars ($1,000) of taxable value in any one year for a period not to exceed
twenty (20) years, commencing with the levy of taxes for collection in the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 2004 and continuing for nineteen (19) additional years thereafter, for
the purpose of accumulating moneys to pay costs of the acquisition, construction,
improving and equipping of a new baseball stadium?" them were Fourteen thousand
seven hundred three (14,703) votes cast as follows:
For the public measure there were Five thousand four hundred thirty (5,430) votes.
Against the public measure there were Nine thousand two hundred seventy (9,270) votes.
We therefore declare the public measure:" "Shall the City of Dubuque, Iowa establish a
capital improvements reserve fund and certify taxes to be levied for such fund against all
taxable property within the City, in addition to all other taxes, in the amount of 33.2371
cents ($.332371) per thousand dollars ($1,000) of taxable value in any one year for a
