RE: Renaming Aggie Street to Oak Park Place
Oak Park Place of Dubuque, LLC has requested that Aggie Street be renamed to
Oak Park Place.
I have attached a copy of their letter and a copy of a portion of Sunset Park 8th
Addition that depicts Aggie Street for your information.
The construction of the Oak Park Place project on a property south of the current
Aggie Street has led to this request.
The sole property owner with an Aggie Street address has consented to the
street name change. I have attached a copy of her letter for your information.
E-911 Center Manager Sandi Hutchcroft has reviewed the request and found it
acceptable. She did note that there currently are 8 other streets that have "Oak"
on their names, but the majority of these have been in the street guide for some
time.

RE: Renaming of Aggie Street
I had an opportunity to meet with Mrs. Jean Phaien, who lives at 1398 Aggie Street. We reviewed and
discussed the Oak Park Place project and our desire to rename Aggie Street.
i am enclosing a letter from her, indicating that she has no ob~jeetion torevanung' Aggie' Street~
She would however like to retain her current street number.
With the enclosed approval, we would like to request and proceed with the process
rename Aggie Sheet to Oak Park Place. Please let me know what is required of Oak Park Place
in order to initiate the street name change.
During our discussion, Ms. Phalen commented that she and several neighbors do have concerns
with traffic at the intersection of Lucy Drive and Pennsylvania Avenue. As I understand it, their
primary concern is with difficulty in turn~g west flora Lucy Drive onto Pennsylvania Avenue at
certain limes of the day. I recall this being a topic of discussion in some of our earlier traffic
plarafing discussions.
Since we will be creating homes for more residents in the area, we would respectfully ask that
you share this neighborhood concern with appropriate City staff and ask for your support in
expediting and prompting necessary attention to traffic control needs at this location.
I look forward to hearing from you in the very near future.
