The design of the pet park including fence location, water hydrant location and parking is in process. The design will then be submitted to IDOT for review and approval. They have indicated that they will determine if a lease or work in right -of -way permit would then be issued pending this approval. If approval is received construction would be spring though summer. This location would be temporary and would have to be modified or removed when the new Julien Dubuque Bridge is built. Ware, Leisure Services Manage Dog Park Update January 7, 2011 Dubuque kittgi All-America ''HP® 2007 The purpose of this memorandum is to provide current information regarding the IDOT property at Dodge and Locust Streets for use as a dog park. Much research and many discussions led to the choice of the location at Dodge and Locust for a second dog park. The Fiscal Year 2011 Park Division C.I.P. has the following project funding for the development of the dog park: 350 1978 73211 Pet Park, Terminal Street $101,000 To request use of this location, IDOT is asking for a plan of the pet park showing all work proposed, for their review. I met with John Klosterman and Jon Dienst on site to review the location of utilities and other site issues. The design of the pet park including fence location, water hydrant location and parking is in process. This design will then be submitted to IDOT for review and approval. They have indicated that they will determine if a lease or work in right -of -way permit would then be issued pending this approval.
