Duggan and Members of the City Council January 28, 2004 Claim Against the City of Dubuque by Eric Schmitt Claimant Date of Claim Date of Loss Nature of Claim Eric Schmitt 01/02/04 12/10/03 Vehicle Damage This is a claim in which the claimant alleges that a City of Dubuque plow truck struck his parked vehicle in front of 2316/2320 Harvest View Drive, damaging the rear-end of his vehicle. According to the report of John Klostermann, Street/Sewer Maintenance Supervisor, records show that on January 17, 2004 an Operations and Maintenance Department snow and ice control truck struck Mr. Schmitt's parked vehicle during an ice storm. It is therefore the recommendation of John Klostermann to approve this claim for the amount of the estimate of $211.77. The Legal Department concurs with this recommendation. Our records show that on January 17, 2004 an Operations and Maintenance Department snow and ice control track hit Mr. Schmitt's parked vehicle during an ice storm event.
