SUBJECT: Apex Company Rezoning Actimr
Dear Mr. Manteruach:
I bave received your letter dated January 13. 2004 conceruing the zoning action request before the
Dubuque City Council involving the relocation of the Apex Company to property along U.S. 52
south of Dubuque.
[ am. aware that some county residents in the area am in opposition to the planned rezoning. A
meetihg including Dubuque city staff ~vas held Wi{h ttiese individuals ~r¢~ently to listen to their
concerns. "
The depa~ment does not intend to conduct a traffic study or hold a public hearifig concerning t~}t~
rezoning issue. If the Dubuque City Council determines that a traffic study is necessary before acfiBn
should be taken on this item, then the cky can arrange to perform the study. If either the Dubuque
City Council or the Dubuque County Board of Supervisors wishes to conduct a public hearing on this
issue, representatives from tbe District Office are willing to attend.
