Vehicle Damage
This is a claim in which the claimant alleges that her vehicle which was parked near the
intersection of Althauser and Stafford Streets was struck by a City of Dubuque recycling
truck as the truck attempted to tum the corner between a telephone pole and claimant's
parked vehicle.
According to the report of Paul Schultz, Solid Waste Management Supervisor, the driver of
recycling truck #3413 attempted to make a tight turn from Stafford Street onto Althauser
Street. Mr. Schultz states that the rear tire of the recycling truck struck the rear bumper of
claimant's Chevy Impala and popped off the taillight.
It is therefore the recommendation of Paul Schultz to approve this claim for the amount of
the submitted estimate of $764.93. The Legal Department concurs with this
recommendation.
