Message: Our Taxes are way too high. The storm water runoff fee is costing our company $5,000 per year. The $60,000
property taxes are killing us. The paper states you needs these taxes to accomplish the City's goals. High taxes and
regulations are killing your older established businesses. I have 60 employees I need to support. We have an extremely smart
City Manager that knows how to convince the Council and his management team how to get what he wants. Your job is to
control our budget and the City Manager. In 2009 we lost 40% of our business due to the economy. I realize you're
attempting to control spending, but it has been way out of control for many years. Quit trying to satisfy the City Manager's
wish list, and dig deep into the departmental budgets. Look around the City and see how much Vacant Commercial Property
there is. Our property in Key West has been sitting vacant for 2 years, losing $60,000 in income each year. Please take
another look at the budget. Thank you.
