We are extremely shocked and in great sorrow on hearing the death of Llr. Dirk
Voetberg. On behalf of Handan City Foreign Affairs Office. all friends of Mr. Voetherg's
in llandan and myself, I wish to express our deep and heartfelt mourning for his passing
-away. 1 also wish you, Mr. Mayor, to convey our sincere solicitude to his family.
Mr. Voetberg is one of the old and nicest friends of Handan people. who paid several
visits to llandan over the years. He made great and hardworking efforts for the sister city
relationship between Handan and Dubuque. and for the enhancing. of the mutual
understanding and friendship between our peoples. We will never forget his outstanding
contributions to the friendly undertakings of llandan and Dubuque.
We will continue to carry forward what Mr.Voetberg has not accomplished yet.
actively promoting the friendly relationship between Mandan and Dubuque and facilitating
the exchanges and cooperation in all fields. Only this way can Nye comfort Mr. Voertberi's
soul in paradise.
