As you know, the City of Dubuque has been extremely successful in turning run-down and abandoned properties into affordable, single family homes. Many times these properties sold to low-income, first-time homeowners who had little hope of owning their own without such incentives. These rehabilitated properties also help to turn previously blighted neighborhoods into safe and healthy neighborhoods. I urge you to support SF 2291, which will help cities turn abandoned properties into viable homes and neighborhoods. Sincerely, Michael C.
