What is the basis of the loads? Hoisting, Machine support, Etc. The basis of the loads is hoisting during the installation. 2. Are the loads correct or should they be reversed? The loads are correct as shown on our shop drawings. 3. do the loads include impact? No, Just the hoisting weight. 4. Are the loads applied as a point load or uniform load? If point loads, Then what location? They are point loads, Any place. 5. Are there any additional loads we need to consider? No not for these beams. 6. Do we need to comply with: Deflection = Span /1666? Not sure , Believe this would be a building design call. 7. Do HB -1 and 2 have to be the same depth? If not , Do the top or bottom beams need to align? Both of the HB -1 beams have to be the same and in line, The bottom /Top of HB -2 does not have to align with FIB -1. As far as the depth of the beam , That should be sized by the building architect /Engineer in order to determine size. 8. Do the beams have to be either WF or S section? That is up to the Architect /Engineer to decide. 9. Whose responsibility is the design of the connection between HB -1 and 2 ? This is the responsibility of the Architect /Engineer.
