Letter of Interest_James WirthLadies and Gentlemen of the Council,
It is with great respect that I, James Wirth, formally express my interest in joining the
Dubuque City Council. I feel honored that I am even being considered, and look forward
to pursuing further involvement.
I have lived in Dubuque's Fourth Ward for five of the last seven years, and recently
purchased a house in the downtown area. I have been interested in being more involved in
the community and see this as a perfect opportunity to expand my participation.
I served as Vice President of my high school's Student Council, so although the scope is
vastly different, I do have some context for what this position will entail. I am currently
employed full time at Target, where I have worked for about a year. I see many
perspectives from this position and am always open to new experiences.
Ultimately, I am getting involved because I would love to help shape the future of this
wonderful city.
