SUBJECT: Plat of Survey of Adams Street, the Easterly Line of Bodega Street, the
Southerly Line of East Fifth Street, the Northerly Line of Ice Harbor Drive
and Lot B of Lot 11 in Industrial Subdivision No.2 All in the City of
Dubuque
Acting Public Works Director/City Engineer Gus Psihoyos is recommending City Council
approval of a rlat showing the recently-surveyed Adams Street and Bodega Street
between E. 5t Street and Ice Harbor Drive (formerly East 4th Street). The purpose of
the survey was to determine the precise location of the public streets and alleys in the
area between E. 5th Street and Ice Harbor Drive.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

in the City of Dubuque
INTRODUCTION
This is in response to a State requirement to prepare and file a plat for property
surveys which includes the retracement of existing boundary lines.
DISCUSSION
The attached plat shows the recently-surveyed Adams Street and Bodega Street
between E. 5th Street and Ice Harbor Drive (formerly East 4th Street). The survey
was performed by WHKS & Company on behalf of the City, The purpose of the
survey was to determine the precise location of the public streets and alleys in
the area between E. 5th Street and Ice Harbor Drive.
Any such retracement surveys of existing lots must be recorded pursuant to Iowa
Codes, The Dubuque County Recorder also requires an "Owner's Consent"
certificate to be attached to the plat.
RECOMMENDATION
I would recommend that the attached plat be approved and that the Mayor be
authorized and directed to sign the plat on behalf of the City.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN
The recommendation should be approved through the adoption of the enclosed
resolution.

DRIVE AND LOT B OF LOT 11 IN INDUSTRIAL SUBDIVISION NO.2
ALL IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE
Whereas, there has been presented to the City Council of the City of
Dubuque, Iowa a plat dated July 14, 2004, prepared by WHKS & Company,
describing the retracement of Adams Street, the easterly line of Bodega Street,
the southerly line of East 5th Street, the northerly line of Ice Harbor Drive and Lot
B of Lot 11 in Industrial Subdivision No.2 all in the City of Dubuque.
Whereas, said plat conforms to the laws and statutes pertaining thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the plat dated July 14, 004, prepared by WHKS &
Company, relative to the real estate hereinabove described be and the same is
hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute said plat and on behalf of the City of
Dubuque, Iowa.
Section 2. That the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized and directed
to file said plat and certified copy of this resolution in the office of the Recorder, in
and for Dubuque County, Iowa.
Passed, approved and adopted this 2nd day of August, 2004.
