serve as an alternate in the absence of the

Notwithstanding the fDregoing, during the
period from the adoption of this Ordinance until
September 1, 2001, a member of the Zoning
Advisory CDmmisBion shall not be a member of

(5) TD make Dr cause to be made such sur-
veys, studies, mapB, planB, or charts of
the City with due regard to its relation
to neighboring territory as may be deter-
mined as necessary to carry out the pur-
poBes of the Commission;
(6) TD recommend amendments to all or a
part of the Comprehensive Plan in re-
sponse tD the cDmmunity planning pro-
ceBS, upon its Dwn initiative or upon
recDmmendation presented by the Zoning
Advisory CommissiDn, but only after a
public hearing;
(7) TD review proposed urban renewal plans
and urban renewal plan amendments
and urban revitalization plans and urban
revitalizatiDn plan amendments for CDn-
sistency with the CDmprehenBive Plan
fDr the City;
(8) TD undertake public infDrmation efforts
to enhance public understanding of the
community planning process generally
and the CDmprehensive Plan specifically;
and
(9) To undertake from time tD time other
specific long-range planning projects
which may be referred tD it by the City
Council.

establish or revise the priorities Df the Commis-
