Sealed bids were received on May 5, 2011, for the sewers identified for lining as part of
the 2011 Sewer Cured -in -Place Pipe Lining Project. City Engineer Gus Psihoyos
recommends award of the contract to the low bidder, Visu- Sewer, Inc., in the amount of
$94,219.00.

INTRODUCTION
The enclosed resolution authorizes the award of the construction contract for the
2011 Sewer Cured -in -Place Pipe (CIPP) Lining Project.
The sewers identified for lining as part of the 2011 Sewer Cured -in -Place Pipe
(CIPP) Lining Project are as follows:
BID RESULTS
Bids were received on the project on May 5, 2011. Visu- Sewer, Inc. of Pewaukee,
Wisconsin, submitted the low bid in the amount of $94,219.00. This amount is
12.35% under the estimate of probable cost. A summary of the bid proposals
received is as follows:

RESOLUTION NO. 172 -11
AWARDING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT CONTRACT FOR THE 2011 SEWER CURED -
IN -PLACE PIPE (CIPP) LINING PROJECT
Whereas, sealed proposals have been submitted by contractors for the 2011
Sewer Cured -in -Place Pipe (CIPP) Lining Project (the Project) pursuant to Resolution
No. 136 -11 and Notice to Bidders published in a newspaper published in the City of
Dubuque, Iowa on the 18 day of April, 2011.
Whereas, said sealed proposals were opened and read on the 5 th day of May,
2011 and it has been determined that Visu- Sewer, Inc. of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, with a
bid in the amount of $94,219.00, is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder for the
Project.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DUBUQUE, IOWA:
That a Public Improvement Contract for the Project is hereby awarded to Visu-
Sewer, Inc. and the City Manager is hereby directed to execute a Public Improvement
Contract on behalf of the City of Dubuque for the Project.
