PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, the month of October, 2004, has been proclaimed "Make a Will
Month" and a group of community leaders has formed to initiate the
month-long effort to increase the number of people who have wills;
and
WHEREAS, the Wills committee's program will be known as "Make a Will Month
- A Tri-State Initiative;" and
WHEREAS, over one half of adults do not have a will completed and subject
themselves to having the state dictate their wishes; and
WHEREAS, when you have a Will, you have the power to decide who will take
care of your children, who will receive your belongings and also
provide that your wishes are carried out; and
WHEREAS, the "Make a Will Month - a Tri-State Initiative" will hold informational
sessions on October 5, 6, 7, 12, 14 and 26 to help citizens in the trio
state area with information necessary to complete their will.
NOW THEREFORE, I, TERRANCE M. DUGGAN, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM THE MONTH OF OCTOBER, 2004, AS:
"MAKE A WILL MONTH"
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have

to be affixed this 4th day of October,
