Duggan and Members of the City Council MEMO Cc' DATE: September 24, 2004 RE: Claim Against the City of Dubuque by Jeff Hoyne Claimant Date of Claim Date of Loss Nature of Claim Jeff Hoyne 09/14/04 09/11/04 Vehicle Damage This is a claim in which the claimant alleges that while his 1988 Chevy truck was parked in the Meineke Muffler parking lot located at 2195 Central Avenue, a City of Dubuque Keyline bus struck it, causing damage to the left rear bumper and left rear box side. According to the report of Mark Munson, Transit Manager, after investigating this claim it was determined that the KeyLine bus driver was at fault for the accident. It is therefore the recommendation of Mark Munson to approve this claim for the amount of the submitted estimate of $789.14. The Legal Department concurs with this recommendation.
