Public Works Director Don Vogt is recommending the position of Landfill Foreman be
eliminated and the position of Landfill Equipment Operator be created. The Landfill
Equipment Operator would be compensated at the same rate of pay as Equipment
Operator II.
Personnel Manager Randy Peck recommends City Council approval to eliminate the
Landfill Foreman classification and create the classification of Landfill Equipment
Operator.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

Public Works Director Don Vogt is recommending that the position of Landfill Foreman
be eliminated and the position of Landfill Equipment Operator be created. The Landfill
Equipment Operator would be compensated at the same rate of pay as Equipment
Operator II. This would be a separate Civil Service classification. The requested action
is for the City Council to approve a motion eliminating the Landfill Foreman classification
and creating the classification of Landfill Equipment Operator.
