Due to the upcoming retirement of the Lead Mechanic in the Leisure Services
Department, Leisure Services Manager Marie Ware has recommended that this position
be replaced with a Mechanic position.
Personnel Manager Randy Peck recommends City Council approval to eliminate one
Lead Mechanic position in the Leisure Services Department and create one Mechanic
position.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

Due to the upcoming retirement of the Lead Mechanic in the Leisure Services
Department, Leisure Services Manager Marie Ware has recommended that this position
be replaced with a Mechanic position. The hourly salary range for the Lead Mechanic is
$21.39 to $24.31and he hourly salary range for Mechanic is $21.04 to $23.82. I support
Marie's recommendation. The requested action is for the City Council to approve a
motion eliminating one Lead Mechanic position in the Leisure Services Department and
creating one Mechanic position.
