Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the 2011 Storm
Sewer Intake Replacement Project was awarded on May 27, 2011, to McDermott
Excavating, in the amount of $29,916.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the 2011 Storm Sewer
Intake Replacement Project be officially recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

The 2011 Storm Sewer Intake Replacement Project provides for the replacement
of eight (8) storm sewer intakes at various locations associated with the 2011
Public Works Asphalt Overlay Program.

Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project
was awarded on May 27, 2011, to McDermott Excavating of Dubuque, Iowa, in
the amount of $29,916.00.
In accordance with the competitive quotation requirements of Iowa Code, Section
26.14, it is necessary that the award for the 2011 Storm Sewer Intake
Replacement Project be officially recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
