This is a claim for reimbursement of the claimant's insurance
deductible for a claim filed for damage to a window in the Nesler
Centre that was damaged during the reconstruction work on Eighth
Street.
According to the report of Public Works Director and City
Engineer Mike Koch, this claim relates to work that was done by
Portz en Construction, whose contract with the City requires the
contractor to hold the City harmless from any claims of damage
resulting from the work. It is therefore the recommendation of the
City Engineering Division that this claim be forwarded to Portzen
Construction for handling; the Legal Dèpartment concurs with that
recommendation.

bonds with the City, which require the contractor to hold the City harmless from any
claims of damage resulting from the work,
Therefore, it is the recommendation of the City Engineering Division that this claim for
damages be forwarded to Portzen Construction for further consideration/processing,
