Expansion - 5th St Parking RampRESOLUTION NO. 84-00 ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS Whereas, on the yth day of February, 2000, plans, specifications, form of contract and estimated cost were filed with the City Clerk of Dubuque, Iowa, for the expansion of the Fifth Street Ramp phase two. Whereas, notice of hearing on plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost was published as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA: That the plans, specifications, form of contract and cost in the amount of $1,987,042.00 are hereby approved for said project. Passed, approved and adopted this 6th day of March, 2000 Terrance M. Duggan, Mayor Attest: Jeanne Schneider, City Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 85-00 AWARDING CONTRACT Whereas, sealed proposals have been submitted by contractors for the expansion of the Fifth Street Ramp phase two and notice to bidders has been published in a newspaper published in the City of Dubuque, Iowa on the 25th day of February, 2000; and Whereas, said sealed proposal were opened and read on the 29th day of February, 2000 and it has been determined that the bid of Conlon Construction Company in the amount of One million nine hundred eighty-seven thousand and forty-two dollars ($1,987,042.00) was the lowest bid for furnishing materials as provided for in the plans and specifications. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA: That the contract for the above construction be awarded to Conlon Construction Company and the Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City of Dubuque.
