INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information regarding an award recently
received by Street and Sewer Maintenance Supervisor John Klostermann from the Iowa
Chapter of the American Public Works Association.
DISCUSSION
Street and Sewer Maintenance Supervisor John Klostermann recently received
recognition by the American Public Works Association as its Iowa "leader of the Year".
A copy of the award announcement, from the most recent edition of the chapter
newsletter, is attached. The only other time a City of Dubuque employee received this
recognition was when the award was made to Public Works Director Francis "Frank"
Murray in 1982.
